Partners in Crime

These 2 are really giving me a run for it. The other day I was upstairs finishing getting ready. I could hear a little giggling, so I went downstairs. At first I could only see them squatted down around something. I just figured they were playing with toys. As I watched I saw Blake put a spoon to his mouth. I walk around them to see the carton of ice cream on the floor. Blake is eating it with a spoon and Jace is just digging in with his fingers. I ran to grab the camera, all too may times I just freak out and clean up the mess. I decided this time I want the proof to show to them one day. While I am taking pictures Jace reaches in and just grabs the chunk of ice cream and is holding it and trying to bite off pieces. These 2 seriously need adult supervision at all times. It is crazy when you worry about leaving them long enough to use the bathroom. You never know what you are going to come out to. Crazy kiddos!

Here are a few catch up pictures.

Logan's Baptism

Logan was baptized on November 28th 2 days after Thanksgiving. My sister Katie came home from her mission on the 24th and wanted to be there for his baptism. We left it up to him to be baptized in October or wait for Katie, he wanted to wait for her to be there. It was a crazy week with Katie coming home, Thanksgiving, his baptism and Katie's homecoming all within 5 days.
Logan was excited to be baptized. When I asked him why he wanted to be baptized he said "Because then I will be an official member of the church." He is so wise for his age. His testimony and spirit is so strong. He knows the scripture stories I think better than I do, and he believes with all of his heart that this church is true. It truly is amazing to hear him speak about the church. I know that he will always be strong. We love you so much Logan, and are so proud of the choices that you make.

Jace's 1rst Haircut

Jace got his first haircut in November. He was 13 months old. He actually did pretty good. He really didn't have that much to cut. I was getting long around his ears and neck. Ryan took the first cut then my Mom cut the rest. He looked so handsome.

Finally our Halloween Post

Logan the Ghoul, Blake the Elephant, Jace the Monkey, and Austin as the Evil Jester
Kallen the Cowboy and Tyler the Indian
Stephanie and I wanted to take our kids Halloween pictures together, and it finally happened in the middle of November. My boys kept saying this is so embarassing, people are just going to stare at us. It made me laugh that they really that mortified to be in costume after Halloween. I would think that most kids would be excited to dress up again. I guess not mine.

Idaho Trip

Blake carried the kittens around on his hip like a Mom carrying her baby. It made me laugh.
This November was my Grandma's 80th birthday. Her kids threw her a surprise birthday party. It was fun to see how excited she was and to catch up with a few of my cousins. We stayed a couple of nights with my Grandma.
I guess my Grandpa went out to his hot house about a month ago and found that a cat had gotten inside and had 7 kittens. My boys absolutely loved playing with them. It made me want to take one home. It really is too bad that they don't stay kittens, or else maybe I would have. I just kept telling my boys that Grizzly would eat them. The top picture is a picture of all the kittens after Blake had packed them all in. He came in with one and said "I get more." He would go back out to the hot house and grab another one, sometimes 2 at a time, those poor kittens. When all of them were inside the house he was finally happy. They were so stinkin' cute.

We had our Halloween Party last night. It was fun to see all the cousins in their costumes, both cute & scary ones! We had yummy food, snacks, & treats. We all were in charge of a game or activity. we played BINGO, pin the nose onthe pumpkin, yucky crazy things to touch, and foam crafts. I think the kids all had a lot of fun. It is always fun to get together with everyone, thanks Emily for letting us come crash your house, you are too sweet!

Football is OVER!

Our Team "THE BOMBS" with their trophies
Ryan coaching the team out on the field
Our fall season of sports has officially ended. Logan had a great time playing football. He loved having his Dad coach the team. As much as Ryan really didn't want to coach, he truly enjoyed it. It is just a hard time of year with the hunts, but somehow he managed. I am glad that the season ended before it got too cold outside. I really enjoy watching my kids play sports, but am also glad when a season is over.

Happy Birthday Jace!

Jace with his new present
Jace with his monkey cake
Jace with his cousins
This is the cake that I decided to make for him for his birthday. We call Jace our "little monkey" so I thought that it would be cute to have a monkey cake
He started with just a little taste, but when we put him in his high chair he had at it!
He loved his cake, he ate the entire piece we gave him, then Ryan fed him some ice cream, he downed that also!
I can't believe that my baby is 1! It feels like just a few months ago that we were heading to the hospital. 2 birthdays in 2 days was definitely not in our plan, but he had a different plan for us. Although he hasn't been the easiest baby, such as...not sleeping through the night (until just this week), a Mommy's boy (which makes it so hard to get anything done), and ear infections every other month, if not every month, we still have thoroughly enjoyed having him be a part of our family. His brothers love to play with him, make him laugh, and watch him do new things. He really brings a smile to all of our faces when he is around. His smile is contagious, it is simply adorable. Happy 1rst Birthday Jace!

Happy Birthday Logan!

Logan wanted a flag cake this year, it was so easy to make, and tasted so yummy with the berries.
Logan and his "Star of the Week" poster
Logan's cousins and friends at his party
Logan got a BB gun for his birthday, he was so excited!
We carpool with some friends, and this is how he showed up to pick up my boys...it was so cute, it said "Happy Birthday Logan" on this side, "Happy Birthday" on the back, and the "#8" on the drivers side. He thought that it was pretty cool.
On Monday we let him have a cousin/friends birthday party. We made little pizzas, opened presents, and ate yummy cake and ice cream. I had a couple of games to play, but time flew by and he just wanted to hang out in the backyard and play with everyone, so that is what we did. He had such a great birthday he said. I was so glad that he had a good time. It is always such a relief when things go so well. All of the kids were so well mannered and well behaved.
I can't believe that Logan is really 8 now. Where does time go? He is such a good boy. He is such a smart kid. He learns so easily. He has such a strong spirit about him. I am amazed at how strong his testimony of the church is. He believes and lives it 100%. We are so glad that Logan is part of our family.

Baseball is Over

Austin pitching
Ryan throwing pop-flies for the team
Our baseball season is over. I am always ready for it to be over, but sad when it is. I absolutely love watching my kids play sports. It is fun to get to know the parents on the team, and chat about how awesome and cute all of the boys are. Austin pitched one of the last games, and did really well. He was so excited to pitch. He has been wanting to do it for a while now. It was a fun season, and we had a great group of boys. Now that the weather has turned cold, I am so glad that I am not sitting out at the ball field.
