We had our Halloween Party last night. It was fun to see all the cousins in their costumes, both cute & scary ones! We had yummy food, snacks, & treats. We all were in charge of a game or activity. we played BINGO, pin the nose onthe pumpkin, yucky crazy things to touch, and foam crafts. I think the kids all had a lot of fun. It is always fun to get together with everyone, thanks Emily for letting us come crash your house, you are too sweet!

Football is OVER!

Ryan coaching the team out on the field
Our fall season of sports has officially ended. Logan had a great time playing football. He loved having his Dad coach the team. As much as Ryan really didn't want to coach, he truly enjoyed it. It is just a hard time of year with the hunts, but somehow he managed. I am glad that the season ended before it got too cold outside. I really enjoy watching my kids play sports, but am also glad when a season is over.

Happy Birthday Jace!

Jace with his new present
Jace with his monkey cake
Jace with his cousins
This is the cake that I decided to make for him for his birthday. We call Jace our "little monkey" so I thought that it would be cute to have a monkey cake
He started with just a little taste, but when we put him in his high chair he had at it!
He loved his cake, he ate the entire piece we gave him, then Ryan fed him some ice cream, he downed that also!
I can't believe that my baby is 1! It feels like just a few months ago that we were heading to the hospital. 2 birthdays in 2 days was definitely not in our plan, but he had a different plan for us. Although he hasn't been the easiest baby, such as...not sleeping through the night (until just this week), a Mommy's boy (which makes it so hard to get anything done), and ear infections every other month, if not every month, we still have thoroughly enjoyed having him be a part of our family. His brothers love to play with him, make him laugh, and watch him do new things. He really brings a smile to all of our faces when he is around. His smile is contagious, it is simply adorable. Happy 1rst Birthday Jace!

Happy Birthday Logan!

Logan wanted a flag cake this year, it was so easy to make, and tasted so yummy with the berries.

Logan got a BB gun for his birthday, he was so excited!
We carpool with some friends, and this is how he showed up to pick up my boys...it was so cute, it said "Happy Birthday Logan" on this side, "Happy Birthday" on the back, and the "#8" on the drivers side. He thought that it was pretty cool.
On Monday we let him have a cousin/friends birthday party. We made little pizzas, opened presents, and ate yummy cake and ice cream. I had a couple of games to play, but time flew by and he just wanted to hang out in the backyard and play with everyone, so that is what we did. He had such a great birthday he said. I was so glad that he had a good time. It is always such a relief when things go so well. All of the kids were so well mannered and well behaved.
I can't believe that Logan is really 8 now. Where does time go? He is such a good boy. He is such a smart kid. He learns so easily. He has such a strong spirit about him. I am amazed at how strong his testimony of the church is. He believes and lives it 100%. We are so glad that Logan is part of our family.

Baseball is Over

Austin pitching
Ryan throwing pop-flies for the team
Our baseball season is over. I am always ready for it to be over, but sad when it is. I absolutely love watching my kids play sports. It is fun to get to know the parents on the team, and chat about how awesome and cute all of the boys are. Austin pitched one of the last games, and did really well. He was so excited to pitch. He has been wanting to do it for a while now. It was a fun season, and we had a great group of boys. Now that the weather has turned cold, I am so glad that I am not sitting out at the ball field.

{ST GEORGE MARATHON 26.2 MILES}

My Support Group!
My Mom, Me, and My Sister Stephanie
Here are the effects of running that far. Yucky, ugly feet, with huge BLISTERS!
I ran the St George Marthon last weekend. We had a great stay with my friend Tamara. We stayed at her Mom's house, which is a resort in and of itself. The kids swam, played games, video games, and just hung out. I decided this year that I wanted to take some time off my previous marathons, so I set out to do it between 4 hrs. 15 min. and 4 hrs. 30 min. When I got up Saturday morning I decided to try for 4 hours that way I would be close to my 4:15 time. I kept an eye on my watch and a wristband that would tell me where I needed to be time wise at each mile. Everytime I looked at it I was 3-4 minutes ahead of 4 hours. So, I decided to try and keep that pace. At about 20 miles, I was starting to get tired, by 24 miles I was really struggling physically and mentally to keep moving. I ran the whole race, and just kept telling myself if I walked now I would be so mad at myself the next day. Those last 2 miles I felt so exhausted and was light headed. I was starting to get worried that I was going to pass out. I almost grabbed a nurse at the finish line, but instead grabbed a popsicle and drink! So I did it, I finished, I ran it in 3:57:20. I was so excited about my time. I never thought I could ever do one at that time. That is almost to the second 1 hour less than I have ever done it. I am so glad that it is done. I am sick of trying to get in 3-4 hours of running miles at night. I told Ryan to remind me that I don't want to do this next year, somehow I always forget that when registration comes around.
